Dear Customers, Thank you for your continuous support. There have been cases of several vessels experiencing a slowdown of outgoing e-mails via FBB this year. The symptoms are as follows: Target: Vessels that use FBB as their primary communication infrastructure for e-mail transmission and reception (vessels using VSAT, FX are not included) Symptom: ・No particular problems receiving incoming mails, but to send e=mails it’s extremely time consuming. ・E-mail transmission and reception are successfully allowed and it won’t affect its usage other than a slowdown. Reference: 1MB incoming e-mail approx. 60 seconds 1MB outgoing e-mail approx. 8 minutes We believe the problem is probably caused by the transmission speed control of upstream ground station. We have requested each carrier to investigate the cause. Please contact us if your vessels are experiencing similar symptoms regularly.
