What's ORiON Concept
What's ORiON Concept
ORION Concept (Open Routing and Independent Optimized Network) is the most advanced vessel network structure proposed by ORCA.
The onboard network built with the ORiON Concept can accommodate the various infrastructures that are likely to appear in the future.
In addition, any extra and/or modified infrastructure will not affect present onboard systems.
Similarly, downstream vessel systems can be easily adopted and modified at any time.
Orion Routing
Indepencies
Optimised Network
Control of multiple communication types
It is possible not only to switch between multiple communication infrastructures, but also to control complex operations simultaneously
Separation of onboard LAN segments
Segmentation of onboard networks is possible in order to safely operate multiple onboard systems.
Optimal communication control
Controls each subsystem individually on order to provide optimal communication.

ORiON Cloud
A cloud system that connects land and vessels. It is the gateway to various services and applications provided by ORCA.
ORiON L2X
This device makes it possible to unite all communication infrastructures.
In addition to selectively switching the communication infrastructure, it also offers advanced functions such as simultaneous use and bandwidth control.
ORiON Plus
This is the core network device that supports ORiON Concept and is responsible for allowing communication to downstream systems, limiting communication charges, and optimizing communications.
ORiON L3
This device is responsible for the Virtual LAN (VLAN) structure of the vessel's network. The combination of this device and L2SW allows the subnetwork to be freely connect from any L2SW port onboard.
